Things really changed with the owner and his staff once he moved here. He used to be kind and caring, and the staff used to have good customer service. But the owner became very rude once he moved, as well as much of the staff, minus one young man. When we’ve called to ask questions they’re incredibly short, rude, and impatient on the phone. Also, the owner has clearly become very stingy and profit only minded. We have been customers in the store several times. Buying ice cream, medication, shelf items, homemade items, etc. Even though their customer service dropped, we kept giving them chances, thinking maybe it was bad days or something. But the final straw for us was this: they had outside chairs. I’m in a wheelchair and my mom is disabled as well, and elderly. Sometimes when we go on walks, we would stop there, and she would use the chair to rest her feet and ankles that are injured, before we kept going. We noticed a little while back that they started stacking the chairs and tables outside, as if not wanting people to use them. Recently, when we were on a walk again, my mom used a stacked chair outside to rest while we talked, taking a break from our walk. The store was closed, so we couldn’t have bought anything, if that was the problem with us using them. Today, when we walked over, we noticed the chairs and tables were all inside, and there was a sign on the door that said smile, you’re on camera. Mind you, we don’t even walk over there that often. And we have been customers many times. We felt mind blown at how selfish and petty the owner could be! They are outside chairs. What’s the big deal if a disabled, elderly person sits in one for a few minutes?! We didn’t steal anything, bother anything, damage anything, etc. And we have been customers many times before. What sad people and a sad world we live in when people are that stingy and pressed over profit that you can’t even sit in a chair outside while the building was closed. Reminds me of the kind of people that make benches purposely spiked or sectioned to deter homeless people. Clearly, they don’t appreciate disabled and elderly customers. The store is also not very accessible as the aisles are very tight. And they don’t offer to help with the doors when they see you. They also tend to ignore customers trying to ask questions about items on the shelves. Definitely don’t recommend!

Every time I have come in for myself or my children, things are consistently great. Today we had issues with my daughter's prescriptions after her surgery and all the staff were so kind, and very helpful to give me options, as well as being so efficient. The customer service here is beyond what I have experienced at any other pharmacy ever. I will continue to be a loyal customer.

Han and his staff are outstanding. Helpful, friendly and make great recommendations for products that can benefit. Love the new location! Beautiful store, very well laid out and designed. Large selection of OTC necessities. They live up to their sign awesome, all day, everyday.

No pharmacy does it better than Han & his team at 501 Rx in Chapel Hill, Chatham County, NC. At my age of 74 I’ve lived in each of the states from Maine to Maryland, plus my current state of North Carolina, and traveled widely. Never have I experienced anything more attentive to customer’s needs, more professional, courteous, efficient, knowledgeable and friendly than at 501 Rx. See for yourself; you will be amazed. None better!

I left corporate owned pharmacies because I was just the next person in line to pick up a script. Not a human, mind you, but the next task to be fulfilled.
I had an unhappy encounter at a nearby CVS where the pharmacy technician was irritated that I asked a question, indicating that my eyesight made it difficult to read some labels on eye drops. He noted that each label will have the Information I’m looking for. Once again, I reminded him that I was having difficulty seeing because of my age. He, quite brusquely, came out from behind the consultation counter, went over to the shelf with me, pointing at a bottle as preservative free. Saying nothing else, he just as quickly turned his back on me and returned to the counter! Yep, great customer courtesy😳!
This would never, ever, occur at 501 pharmacy. Folks know me by name when I walk in and, frankly, I feel I’m part of the larger 501 pharmacy family. Treated like the human being I am! I’m rather fond of that.
