THEY DONT TAKE ANYMORE PAITENTS THEY SAID AS OF AUGUST 14th 2025 if on pain meds and not on “other medication” (blood pressure was their example).
RUDE and judgmental tone when called asking a couple questions due to looking for a new pharmacy.
This is a little ramble but I’m quite upset due to the way was talked to and way things seem to be now at a lot of pharmacies.
I Started out by stating that was looking for a new pharmacy and was asking if there was anyway to get an estimate on how much medication would be considering we have to cash pay for our medication due to our policy right now. They said they don’t do any discount for medication (like Clinton drug, let people use good rx, etc ) and do not take good rx or anything like that. I was transferred to a man and told him the same thing (looking for a new pharmacy and we are cash pay due to insurance issues). He said he could give me the cash price and to say my first medication. I told him the medication (happens to be a narcotic due to leg amputation and a bunch of broken bones/rods and plates in leg and others parts of body. He diddnt need to know all that information) but before I could get out the name of the second medication he stopped me in a rude/judgmental tone saying “we aren’t taking anymore patients that are on pain medication. They have to actually be on regular other medication like blood pressure or something like that”… soo… you want a doctor to right some other medication just to make it “look better” pretty much. Has to be on some other bs medication so don’t get judgement and get the medication needed (which was made clear IF was on a different medication then they could take new patient).
I understand people have abused narcotics but unfair to those who need them and the person who answered the phone diddnt even know why the medication was needed so why just straight to judgement, obviously need to go get a new job bc compassion is out the window with that one.

Matthews has gone down the drain since Jim Matthews has left. Have had several and I mean several prescriptions thrown out and had to go without because they “misplaced” them again this is several times. I’ve had to deal with trying to call to get my prescriptions filled to be put on hold for 30 minutes to hours to then be hung up on , or having to use their automated system, and having to wait 30 extra minutes to get my prescriptions filled, with the excuse of they were busy and business just died down with in the 10 minutes it took for me to get there to see everyone sitting down and playing to still have to wait 30 minutes to an hour to get my meds ready. Most recently I’ve had my copay to go up from only $4.20 per med for a 30 day prescription to $16 per prescription, for them to ask me to call my insurance company and spend 4 hours of them tossing me between 8 different people to find out the prices are the same and Matthews decided to go up on the price. This company is going down hill fast

I love this drugstore! Fast & friendly service! I have to change my review. I had to leave this drug store. They were bad for giving me pills that were different than what I was used to getting. Then I called them this past month, the day before my medication was due to be filled & specifically asked them not to give me that kind. They reassured me I would get a different kind, one I was more familiar with & I knew worked better. When my daughter picked them up the next day & brought them to me. Well guess what they were??? Yep! The ones that didn't work! I switched backed to Walgreens fast!!!!🤗
